VILDEW-M 50/500™

Description: VILDEW-M 50/500™ is an oral anti-diabetic combination therapy containing Vildagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and Metformin, a biguanide, used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Vildagliptin improves glycemic control by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4), which increases the levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP). These hormones stimulate insulin release and suppress glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. Metformin Hydrochloride reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity, thereby lowering blood glucose levels without causing weight gain or significant risk of hypoglycemia. Together, this combination offers synergistic glycemic control with a low risk of hypoglycemia, making it a suitable option for monotherapy failure or dual therapy initiation.   Dosage: As directed by the physician.
